WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:
I finished your book over a month ago and it has taken me entirely too long to get back to you and tell you that I LOVED it. I loved your characters--the way you developed them. I could totally see them, felt like I knew them. Your book is so well written I believe that any major publishing house of Christian fiction would publish it. And not need to edit. YOU GO GIRL!

Hi Holly. I finished Twink this weekend. I really enjoyed it. I almost got mad at you ( Lloyd) but was relieved when it all worked out in the end. Write another one. J

A fifteen year old girl liked that it was fast paced.

My mom told me that her friend said she identified with both characters. Her adult son had/has learning disabilities, her adult daughter – eating disorder.

My sister told me she liked the way I showed, instead of just said, that one family is good and the other isn’t.

A children’s librarian told me she liked it very much and booked me to speak about the writing process and flash fiction for a writing program jointly organized by the library and the YMCA for children and young teens.

A mom of teens and young adults told me she read it in 24 hours! She commented that, ironically, she and one of her children had been discussing one of the topics central to the book the very day she began reading it. At the time of the discussion, she didn’t know that topic would be part of the book.

I asked a friend who’s an elementary school librarian and prolific reader of Christian fiction if she knew of any modern romances that weren’t sappy, didn’t romanticize horses or the South (USA), and weren’t riddled with sex. She recommended I read my own book!
